Our Mission

The City of Frostburg Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing quality recreational facilities and programs to serve the citizens of Frostburg and the surrounding communities in Allegany and Garrett counties.

Quick Information

  • The City of Frostburg owns and maintains over 115 acres of land located in seven parks throughout the City.
  • The Parks & Recreation Department maintains and operates three indoor facilities (Frostburg Armory, Frostburg Community Center, City Place) and 5 outdoor pavilions that are available for rental use.
  • There are 14 different sports leagues encompassing six different sports operating within the City.
  • Our parks are visited over 100,000 times per year.
  • The Parks & Recreation Department has four playgrounds (Community Park, Recreation Complex, East End Park, Mt. Pleasant St. Park) within the City.
  • The Parks & Recreation Department has ten athletic fields which include baseball, softball, soccer, and football fields.
  • The outdoor pool at Frostburg Community Park holds over 416,000 gallons of water and has a surface area of nearly 14,000 sq. feet
  • The Parks & Recreation Department operates a Summer Day Camp from June to August for children 12 y/o and under.
